Uncovering secrets

The night enticed us with secrets and suprises, too good to possibly sleep. Our apartment became a casualty while hunting for stockings and shoes - I don't think I can live from this suitcase much longer. Yes, the sun's still searching for my skin.

Deafening

The best thing about the blogosphere? Discovering talent and incredible souls.
Cara Gray from Uptown Twirl falls into both categories. J'adore this illustration and truly wish her the world.

Closer to the edge

Quick outfit post from last night before we head to town for the St Kilda festival. Had drinks with old friends and made some new ones - Red Eye has left me with red eyes.

Touchdown

Have now spent a week in the ever fabulous Melbourne town. At the moment I’m staying in East Melbourne on Simpson St in a super friendly apartment complex and everyone is swooning over Pumba. The receptionist even came past my room after she’d finished work to have a cuddle. He is really that cute.

Flight went well, I was lucky enough to score an empty seat, which I took full advantage of spreading out and having a solid 3-hour snooze. Sleepy time meant I missed breakfast though and was STARVING once off the plane. No time to munch yet though I was off to pick up Pumba from his drop off point. Ended up taking about 40 minutes to collect him which the taxi driver I’d asked to stay was not impressed about. Neither was I to be honest but was all worthwhile once I saw my little man.

Still on the search for somewhere to stay more permanently but my car has arrived now thank goodness - am quickly getting sick of living in a suitcase. Overview of the week - lots of shopping, lots of cocktails lots of giggles and lots of fun. This city is wonderful.

Peace out mann x

Turbania

Turbania in suburbia. Too bad it didn't last too much longer after this pic was taken.
What a wonderful night with a wondrous lady. Imma miss these silly ol' friends of mine.
Yummies tomorrow with work ladies and only 16 sleeps to go.
Wow.

Time for change

You may have noticed the lack of posts (but judging by my traffic feed it doesn't stop you checking back! Hoorah!) And I'm sorry the blog has been so neglected of late. I have reason though I promise!
On Feb 3rd I'm taking the dive and moving to the ocean that is Melbourne. I feel I've learnt enough in the sheltered waters of Perth and now it's time to sink or swim. Preferably the latter.
Perth and it's fashion industry have been a dream and an absolutely incredible experience - I've met and worked with so many talented people, and it will be a hard thing to say goodbye to. I'm a big believer in making your on opportunities so imma go ahead and practice what I preach, which at the moment is moving interstate with 2 wonderful girlies and make something of ourselves.
I will be starting a fresh in ol' Melbourne town (including new blog!) and hope you'll come visit me (yes, both virtually and physically).
More info on that coming soon - in the mean time I have a whole lot of packing to do!

Empty

O Earth, lie heavily upon her eyes;
seal her sweet eyes weary of watching, Earth;
Lie close around her; leave no room for mirth
With its harsh laughter, nor for sound of sighs.
She hath no questions, she hath no replies.

-Cecelia Lisbon

He was crippled
But only his body was cracked.
It's not simple,
Nor is it an easy matter to explain.
"Let's just leave it at that," she says,
And closes the holy book of lies.
She covers her eyes,
Denying to herself what she let happen.

-Tracy Louise Freeland
